The Uttarakhand Chief Minister has sanctioned ₹62 crore for state development projects, preparations for the 2027 Kumbh Mela, and scholarship schemes.
The allocation covers infrastructure upgrades, road repairs, and public facility improvements across the state, while earmarking funds for the Kumbh Mela to enhance safety, sanitation and crowd management.
The decision is part of the government’s broader strategy to boost tourism, education and local development ahead of the world‑famous Kumbh Mela scheduled in 2027.
