Uttarakhand CM Announces Upcoming Recruitment for 1,600 Police Posts

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the state government will soon initiate recruitment drives to fill 1,600 vacant police posts. The announcement was made during a press briefing in Dehradun, where Dhami emphasized the need to strengthen law‑and‑order infrastructure across the state. The recruitment is expected to be conducted through a state‑wide examination and interview process, with candidates required to meet the eligibility criteria set by the Uttarakhand Police Service. Officials said the vacancies have been pending for several years, and filling them will improve policing capacity in remote districts. The government has urged interested candidates to keep an eye on official notifications for application dates and eligibility details.
