The Uttarakhand government has sanctioned ₹227 crore to upgrade roads, expand police facilities and carry out Kumbh Mela related works.
The state of Uttarakhand has approved a budget of ₹227 crore to support infrastructure projects linked to the upcoming Kumbh Mela.
The allocation will be used to widen key roads that will handle the influx of pilgrims, improve traffic management and enhance safety measures.
In addition to road works, the funds will upgrade police stations and establish new security posts to ensure crowd control and emergency response during the festival.
Officials say the projects are expected to be completed in phases, with major milestones aligned with the festival schedule to minimise disruption for visitors.
