Police in Uttar Pradesh detained a school operator after a video clip emerged in which he made an explicit proposition to a female staff member, stating that his wife was ill and he wanted to sleep with her. The clip, which quickly circulated on social media, prompted immediate complaints from the staffer and a formal FIR was lodged against the operator for harassment and indecent behavior.
The operator was arrested at the school premises and taken to the local police station for questioning. Investigators are reviewing the video to verify its authenticity and to determine whether any other staff members were subjected to similar remarks.
Authorities have announced that the case will be pursued under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code dealing with sexual harassment and indecent exposure. The school administration has issued a statement expressing shock at the incident and assuring that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken pending the outcome of the legal process.
