Uttar Pradesh issues nearly 18 lakh new Ayushman cards in three months

Uttar Pradesh authorities reported that nearly 18 lakh fresh Ayushman Bharat cards were issued over the past three months, according to official data released by the state health department. The cards are part of the central Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, which provides cashless secondary and tertiary care to families below the poverty line. Officials said the accelerated rollout is intended to bring more eligible households into the scheme ahead of the upcoming enrollment drive scheduled for later this year. The state plans to maintain the momentum, aiming to achieve full coverage of all entitled families before the end of the current fiscal year.
