The Uttar Pradesh government has issued almost 18 lakh new Ayushman Bharat health insurance cards in a span of three months, expanding coverage for residents.
In a recent announcement, the Uttar Pradesh government reported that it has issued nearly 18 lakh new Ayushman Bharat health insurance cards over the past three months.
The Ayushman Bharat scheme, launched by the central government, provides financial protection against hospitalization costs for economically vulnerable families. The new cards will enable residents to access cashless treatment at empaneled hospitals across the state.
The state’s health department said the rollout is part of a broader effort to increase enrollment and ensure that more citizens benefit from the national health insurance program.
