Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Bharat Taxi service and a new loan scheme designed to provide credit to farmers in Uttar Pradesh.
On a ceremony in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formally introduced Bharat Taxi, a state‑backed initiative intended to expand affordable transport options and create employment opportunities for local drivers. The launch was marked by a demonstration of the service and remarks highlighting its role in improving mobility across urban and semi‑urban areas.
In the same event, the government unveiled a farmer loan scheme aimed at extending low‑interest credit to small and marginal cultivators. The scheme will be channelled through banks and cooperative societies, with eligibility criteria focused on landholding size and repayment capacity. Officials said the credit line is intended to help farmers invest in seeds, equipment and other inputs.
Both announcements form part of Uttar Pradesh’s broader strategy to boost the rural economy, strengthen agricultural productivity and generate jobs in the transport sector. State officials indicated that the schemes will be rolled out in phases, with monitoring mechanisms to ensure timely disbursement and effective utilization of funds.
