Uttar Pradesh CM accuses Congress of undermining credibility of world’s largest democracy

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath publicly alleged that the Indian National Congress is seeking to erode the credibility of the world's largest democracy. The remarks were made during an interview with the news portal The Hawk, where the CM emphasized the importance of safeguarding democratic institutions.
He warned that partisan attacks could weaken public confidence in India’s democratic framework, which he described as a model for other nations. The statement came amid ongoing political debates ahead of upcoming state and national elections.
The Congress party has not issued an immediate response to the CM's accusations, and political analysts note that such exchanges are typical in the heated pre‑election environment.
