The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order prohibiting outsiders from entering any government school across the state.
The education department of Uttar Pradesh announced a statewide directive that bars any person who is not a student, staff member or authorized visitor from stepping inside government-run schools.
The order, which applies to all districts, instructs school principals to enforce the restriction and to display notices informing the public of the new rule.
Authorities said the measure aims to enhance safety and maintain an environment conducive to learning, and that any violation will be dealt with under existing school‑security regulations.
