US Envoy Sergio Gor Signals Possible Downgrading of Jammu & Kashmir Travel Advisory

The U.S. Special Representative for South Asia, Sergio Gor, met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in New Delhi earlier this week. During the discussion, Gor indicated that Washington is reviewing its travel advisory for the region and may downgrade it from the current level. The U.S. State Department has not yet issued an official change, but the envoy’s comments suggest a shift in the U.S. stance toward the disputed territory.
