Villagers in Uran, Maharashtra, will hold an all-party hunger strike on Independence Day. The strike is in protest against the 40-year JNPA project.
The villagers of Uran in Maharashtra have decided to hold an all-party hunger strike on Independence Day. This protest is against the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) project, which has been in operation for over 40 years. The strike is a culmination of the villagers' long-standing grievances against the project. The JNPA project has been a significant economic driver for the region, but the villagers have been raising concerns about its impact on their livelihoods and the environment.
