Uttar Pradesh's Director General of Police, Rajeev Krishna, has directed all officers to ensure a zero‑incident Kanwar Yatra, inaugurated new monitoring cells in Meerut, and reviewed security plans in Muzaffarnagar.
The Director General of Police of Uttar Pradesh, Rajeev Krishna, issued a directive to all police officers to maintain a zero‑incident record during the upcoming Kanwar Yatra.
During a visit to Meerut, the DGP inaugurated a series of new monitoring cells designed to track pilgrim movements and respond swiftly to any incidents.
He also inspected the security arrangements in Muzaffarnagar, where contingency plans for the pilgrimage were reviewed and updated.
In addition to infrastructure, the DGP emphasized behavioural training and operational briefings for police personnel to ensure coordinated inter‑state cooperation and pilgrim safety.
