Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Maurya has warned that graduates from madrassas are developing a terrorist-like mindset, calling for urgent measures to address the issue.

In a recent statement, Uttar Pradesh's deputy chief minister Keshav Maurya expressed concerns over the ideological orientation of madrassa graduates.

Maurya warned that the curriculum and environment in many madrassas may lead students towards extremist beliefs, describing the mindset as "terrorist-like".

He urged the state government to review madrassa education, implement stricter oversight, and promote secular values.

The deputy chief minister's remarks come amid ongoing discussions on educational reforms in the state, though no immediate policy changes were announced.
