Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the newly built elevated corridor at Porvorim, Goa, marking a step forward in the state's road infrastructure.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari formally opened the Porvorim elevated corridor in Goa on Thursday, overseeing the ribbon‑cutting ceremony attended by local officials and media. The project, part of the central government's push to improve road connectivity, stretches over several kilometres and provides a grade‑separated route over the busy arterial road.
The corridor is expected to ease traffic congestion in Porvorim, a rapidly growing suburb of the state capital Panaji, by allowing vehicles to bypass ground‑level intersections. Planners anticipate reduced travel time for commuters and smoother movement of goods.
Authorities said the inauguration underscores the government's commitment to upgrading infrastructure in the region, with further road and bridge projects slated for the upcoming financial year.
