Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has unveiled a package of road development projects in Goa valued at approximately Rs 40 billion, aiming to improve connectivity across the state.

During a press briefing, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari revealed a new package of road development initiatives in Goa valued at roughly Rs 40 billion. The plan covers the construction of new highways as well as the widening and strengthening of existing arterial routes across the state.

The government said the projects aim to enhance intra‑state connectivity, reduce travel times and support Goa's tourism‑driven economy. Improved road infrastructure is expected to attract further investment and create jobs in construction and ancillary sectors.

Funding for the scheme will come from the central road development budget, with implementation to be overseen by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in coordination with the Goa state government. The rollout will be phased over the next few years, subject to standard clearances and tender processes.
