Union Minister Amit Shah Unveils Updated FCRA Portal and e-OCI Card

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a new version of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) portal and the electronic mode of the OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Card. The initiative aims to streamline processes and enhance transparency.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has introduced an updated version of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) portal. This digital platform is designed to facilitate smoother compliance and enhance transparency in the regulation of foreign contributions received by various organizations in India.

Alongside the FCRA portal upgrade, the Minister also launched the e-OCI Card. This digital issuance of the OCI card signifies a move towards modernization, simplifying the process for overseas citizens of India to obtain and manage their vital travel document.

These technological advancements are expected to improve the efficiency of government services related to foreign funding regulations and the OCI scheme, benefiting both authorities and applicants.
