The United Nations Climate Change Fund has approved a $20 million grant to support reconstruction in Nepal after recent floods and natural disasters.
The grant will help rebuild infrastructure, homes, and critical services damaged by the floods that swept across the country earlier this year.
The decision follows the UN’s commitment to assist vulnerable countries facing climate‑related challenges and reflects the growing impact of extreme weather events in South Asia.
The neighboring country to India, Nepal, has been working with international partners to recover from the devastation and to strengthen its resilience against future climate shocks.
