Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple Hosts Special Panchamrit Abhishek and Bhasm Aarti at 3 AM

On Wednesday at 3 a.m., priests performed a special panchamrit abhishek and adorned the idol of Lord Mahakal at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. The ritual concluded with a bhasm aarti, accompanied by chants of Jai Shri Mahakal.
The special worship took place at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Wednesday morning at 3 a.m., during the regular bhasm aarti. Priests performed a panchamrit abhishek using milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar, followed by elaborate decoration of the deity’s idol. After the abhishek and shrngar, the traditional bhasm aarti was conducted, with devotees chanting Jai Shri Mahakal as the sacred ashes were offered. The event drew a large number of pilgrims who gathered to witness the early‑morning rites, which are considered highly auspicious in the Shaivite tradition.
