Ujjain's Mahakal Temple Curbs VIP Access to Bhasma Aarti

The Mahakal Temple Committee in Ujjain has implemented a new rule restricting Bhasma Aarti permissions, allowing only one booking per mobile number every three months.

The Shri Mahakal Temple Management Committee in Ujjain has introduced a significant change to the process of obtaining permissions for the revered Bhasma Aarti. In an effort to curb VIP culture and ensure wider accessibility, the committee has decided to limit the number of Bhasma Aarti passes issued through a single mobile number.

Under the new regulation, individuals can now secure permission for the Bhasma Aarti only once within a three-month period using the same mobile number. This measure has been reinstated by the committee following persistent complaints regarding the current system and the perceived preferential treatment in granting access.

The decision aims to create a more equitable system for devotees wishing to witness the sacred ritual, ensuring that the opportunity is not monopolized and is available to a larger number of pilgrims over time. The committee's move reflects a commitment to addressing public grievances and promoting fairness in temple administration.
