Ujjain Sees Massive Pilgrimage

The city of Ujjain witnessed an unprecedented surge in pilgrims during the month of Shravan. In just eight days, over 29 lakh devotees flocked to the revered Mahakal temple to catch a glimpse of the deity. On August 3, a staggering 6,13,849 pilgrims visited the temple, marking the highest single-day footfall. The massive influx of devotees led to queues stretching up to 4 kilometers. The preceding days also saw a significant number of pilgrims, with 4,76,109 devotees visiting on August 2 and 4,19,732 on August 1.
