Preparations for the Simhastha 2028 mega-festival in Ujjain are underway, with a security blueprint involving over 25,000 personnel including trained Home Guards, Civil Defence volunteers, Aapda Mitra, and SDRF jawans.
The holy city of Ujjain is gearing up for the Simhastha 2028, a significant religious congregation expected to draw millions of devotees. A comprehensive security plan has been formulated to manage the massive influx of pilgrims.
The security apparatus will comprise over 25,000 individuals. This includes trained Home Guard personnel, Civil Defence volunteers, Aapda Mitra (disaster response volunteers), and personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
These forces will be responsible for maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of devotees during the month-long event, which is a major pilgrimage for Hindus held every twelve years.
