Ujjain Administration Uses Bulldozer to Dismantle Illegal Ashram on Reserved Land

Early on Tuesday, Ujjain officials moved a bulldozer onto the site of an illegal ashram owned by Mahamandalishwar Jyotgirir, which was located on land reserved for public use. The operation was carried out with a sizeable police contingent and the municipal corporation’s security team on hand to maintain order. Authorities cited violations of land‑use regulations and the lack of proper permits as the reason for the demolition. The bulldozer work began at dawn, and by midday the structure had been dismantled, with officials announcing that the site would be cleared and monitored to prevent future encroachments.
