Udhna Station Overwhelmed by Diwali and Chhath Rush, Holding Areas Overflow

Udhna railway station, one of Surat’s busiest junctions, saw an unprecedented surge of commuters as the Diwali and Chhath festivals approached. Passengers lined up for hours, with holding areas overflowing and some waiting outside the station premises. Railway officials deployed additional staff and security personnel to manage the crowd and ensure smooth operations. Despite the heavy traffic, most trains departed on schedule, though a few minor delays were reported due to the sheer volume of travelers.
