Udaipur Police Arrest Rajkot Murder‑Loot Suspects, Seize 1 kg Gold Hidden in Shoe Sole

Udaipur police announced the arrest of a group of suspects who had escaped from Rajkot, Gujarat, following a homicide and a robbery involving gold and silver worth several crores. The fugitives attempted to cross into Rajasthan but were intercepted during a police blockade near the city.

Investigators recovered approximately one kilogram of gold that the suspects had hidden inside the sole of a shoe, a detail that led to the swift seizure of the stolen valuables. The recovered gold is expected to be handed over to the court as evidence in the ongoing investigation.

Authorities said the operation underscores coordinated efforts between Gujarat and Rajasthan police to track and apprehend criminals involved in high‑value thefts. The suspects are now in custody and will face charges related to murder, robbery and possession of stolen property.
