The company, which operates several uranium mines in the state, said the study will examine exposure to radiation, respiratory ailments, and cancer risks among local communities.
UCIL’s spokesperson noted that the research will involve collaboration with public health experts and will use both field surveys and laboratory analyses.
The study is expected to be completed within the next 12 to 18 months, with preliminary findings to be shared with state health authorities and the public.
