Two‑Lane Road to Lotus Valley, Gulawat Near Indore Near Completion, 80% Done

A new two‑lane road is being built to connect Indore with the Lotus Valley tourist spot in Gulawat, with about 80% of the work already finished.
Indore authorities are constructing a two‑lane road that will directly link the city with the Lotus Valley tourist destination in Gulawat, located roughly 20 kilometres away. The new alignment will bypass the narrow village lanes that visitors currently have to navigate, providing a smoother and safer approach to the scenic spot.
According to the project update, about 80 percent of the road work has been completed, with earth‑moving and pavement laying in advanced stages. The remaining tasks include final surfacing and installation of safety signage.
Once finished, the road is expected to cut travel time significantly and boost visitor numbers to Lotus Valley, which is promoted as a key eco‑tourism attraction in Madhya Pradesh. Officials anticipate that the improved access will also benefit local businesses in Gulawat.
The construction is slated to be completed by the end of the year, after which the road will be opened to the public without any tolls.
