Two newly‑elected independent Bihar MLCs back BJP

Two independents who won seats in the recent Bihar Legislative Council elections have publicly aligned themselves with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Their declaration adds to the BJP’s strength in the state’s upper house, where party numbers are closely monitored. Analysts point out that independent legislators often hold the balance of power in council decisions, and this support could affect upcoming legislative business. No further details on the timing or conditions of the support were provided by party officials.
