The Jalandhar health authorities reported two additional H1N1 infections, bringing the district’s confirmed cases to 23.
Jalandhar’s public health officials announced today that two more individuals have tested positive for the H1N1 influenza virus, adding to the district’s existing tally. The cases were identified through routine surveillance and laboratory confirmation at the city’s diagnostic centre.
With these additions, the total number of confirmed H1N1 patients in Jalandhar has reached 23. Health workers are closely monitoring all patients, most of whom are receiving antiviral therapy and supportive care as per national guidelines.
Authorities have urged residents to adopt preventive measures, including frequent hand washing, avoiding close contact with symptomatic persons, and seeking medical attention promptly if flu‑like symptoms appear. The district health department continues to conduct awareness campaigns and is prepared to expand testing if the situation escalates.
