Police officials in Mohali announced the arrest of two individuals identified as shooters of the Nandu gang. The suspects were taken into custody after a routine check, during which a cache of firearms, ammunition and other weapons was recovered.
According to the police spokesperson, the arrested shooters were found to be in possession of assault rifles and handguns, indicating a serious intent to carry out a violent act. Preliminary interrogation suggested that they were coordinating a shooting operation in the town of Morinda, located in the same state.
The investigation team has opened a case under the Arms Act and is probing the broader network of the Nandu gang. Further inquiries will focus on identifying any additional conspirators and the motive behind the planned attack.
