Two Kuki-Zo legislators from Manipur's legislative assembly entered Imphal for the first time in three years, marking a significant political visit.
The Kuki and Zo communities, which constitute a significant portion of Manipur’s population, have had limited representation in the state capital over recent years.
Recently, two elected members of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, belonging to the Kuki-Zo group, stepped onto the streets of Imphal, marking their first visit to the city in three years.
The visit is viewed as a step toward greater inclusion of these communities in state politics and may influence upcoming development discussions in the capital.
