Two constables of the Jaipur police were taken into custody after a neighbor complained of verbal abuse and harassment following a liquor gathering in a local society.
Jaipur, Rajasthan – Police officials arrested two constables of the Jaipur police on charges of verbally abusing and harassing a female resident of a housing society after a liquor party was held on the premises. The woman reported that the officers, who were present at the gathering, used offensive language and made unwanted advances toward her.
Society members, alarmed by the incident, accompanied the complainant to the nearest police station where the matter was registered. Following the complaint, senior police officials launched an internal inquiry and detained the two constables pending further investigation.
