TVK contests first by‑poll as voters head to polls in Dharapuram and Madurantakam

Tamil Nadu politician TVK is set to contest his inaugural by‑poll today, marking his first foray into a mid‑term election. The voting process has commenced simultaneously in two assembly segments – Dharapuram in Tiruppur district and Madurantakam in Kanchipuram district.
The Election Commission of India has deployed polling staff and security personnel to ensure a smooth conduct of the polls across both constituencies.
Voters are being urged to cast their ballots before the scheduled closing time, with the results expected to be announced in the coming days.
The outcome will be closely watched as it could offer an early indication of public sentiment ahead of the next state assembly elections.
