A bolt of lightning struck the roof of a nearby house, creating a flash of intense light and a loud crack. Tulsi Chaudhary, who was present at the scene, instinctively placed herself between the children and the strike, effectively taking the impact on her own body.
Eyewitnesses said the children escaped unharmed, and no serious injuries were reported for Chaudhary either. The incident quickly spread on social media, drawing praise for her quick thinking and bravery.
Local authorities reminded residents to seek shelter indoors during thunderstorms and to avoid standing near open structures when lightning is present.
