The Tripura government has launched T‑RISE, a new program aimed at nurturing startups and creating future unicorns through funding, mentorship and incubation support.
Tripura’s state administration announced the launch of T‑RISE, a dedicated initiative designed to accelerate the growth of early‑stage technology ventures. The program was unveiled at a ceremony in the capital, where officials highlighted the goal of turning promising ideas into the next generation of unicorns.
T‑RISE will provide selected startups with seed capital, access to state‑run incubators, and structured mentorship from industry veterans. Participants are also expected to benefit from networking opportunities with investors and corporate partners, creating a comprehensive ecosystem for scaling innovative products and services.
The government expects the scheme to generate new jobs, attract private investment and position Tripura as a hub for high‑growth enterprises in the Northeast. By aligning with national startup policies, T‑RISE aims to bridge the funding gap that many regional entrepreneurs face and foster a culture of entrepreneurship across the state.
Implementation will begin in the coming weeks, with an open call for applications slated for the next quarter. The first batch of beneficiaries is slated to receive support by the end of the fiscal year, marking a significant step toward diversifying Tripura’s economic base.
