The Government of Tripura has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Stock Exchange to promote financial inclusion across the state.

The Government of Tripura entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to strengthen financial inclusion initiatives in the state.

Under the agreement, the NSE will collaborate with Tripura’s financial institutions to expand access to banking services, especially in rural and underserved areas. The partnership aims to leverage NSE’s digital platforms and expertise to streamline financial transactions and promote digital literacy.

Tripura officials highlighted that the MoU aligns with national priorities to bring more citizens into the formal financial system. The collaboration is expected to provide training and support to local banks and micro‑finance entities, helping them reach a wider customer base.

The move is part of Tripura’s broader strategy to improve economic participation and reduce the financial exclusion gap that has historically affected many of its residents.
