The state government of Tripura has signed Memoranda of Understanding worth ₹2,240 crore with various partners to develop the electric vehicle sector.
Tripura’s government has inked Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) amounting to ₹2,240 crore to boost its electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.
The agreements cover a range of activities, from setting up manufacturing units and charging infrastructure to developing battery technology and skill‑development programmes.
The MoUs aim to attract private investment, create jobs and position Tripura as a hub for EV production and services in Northeast India.
The move aligns with the national push for electric mobility and the state’s goal of reducing carbon emissions while fostering economic growth.
