Computer teachers in Tripura's schools are pressing for a statutory minimum wage and have warned of district-wide agitation and possible mass resignations if their demands are not met.

A group of computer teachers employed in schools across Tripura has formally demanded that the state implement a minimum wage for their cadre. The teachers argue that their current remuneration falls short of the statutory floor wages prescribed for similar skilled workers.

In a statement released to the media, the teachers warned that failure to address the wage issue could trigger agitation throughout the district, potentially disrupting academic activities. They also indicated that a coordinated mass resignation could be considered as a last resort.

Education officials have been approached for a response, but no official comment has been recorded at the time of this report. The situation remains under close observation as the teachers prepare to mobilise if their demands remain unmet.
