Tripura Gramin Bank and the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council held talks to identify joint projects aimed at boosting regional development and expanding financial services for tribal communities.
Tripura Gramin Bank met with officials of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) to chart collaborative pathways for socio‑economic development in the state's tribal regions. The dialogue, convened in Agartala, focused on leveraging the bank's rural credit network to support infrastructure, agriculture and small‑scale enterprises.
Both parties agreed to prioritize financial inclusion by expanding branch outreach, introducing digital banking solutions and tailoring loan products to the unique needs of tribal entrepreneurs. Training programmes for local financial literacy and capacity‑building workshops were also tabled as part of the agenda.
If implemented, the initiatives are expected to improve access to credit for underserved households, stimulate job creation and contribute to the broader goal of reducing regional disparities in Tripura. The bank and TTAADC will submit a detailed action plan to the state government within the next month.
