The Tripura state government said it will create more than 23,900 government posts, a move aimed at expanding public‑sector employment in the state.

Kumar Bharat Singh, the Chief Minister of Tripura, announced that the state will generate over 23,900 new government positions across various departments. The initiative is part of the administration's effort to address unemployment and strengthen public services.

The vacancies will be filled through the usual merit‑based selection process, including competitive examinations and interviews conducted by the Tripura Public Service Commission. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited to apply as per the schedule that will be released shortly.

State officials said the recruitment drive will cover sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, and administrative services, thereby broadening opportunities for the local workforce. The government expects the added manpower to improve service delivery and support the state's development agenda.

The announcement was made during a press briefing in Agartala, where the CM emphasized the government's commitment to inclusive growth and job creation for the youth of Tripura.
