Tripura Congress has questioned the 2021 voter list used for civic polls and called for the deployment of central forces to oversee the process.
The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has formally raised concerns over the 2021 voter list used for the state's upcoming civic polls.
According to the party, the list contains errors such as duplicate entries and omissions of eligible voters, which could affect the fairness of the elections.
In response, the TPCC has demanded that central forces be deployed to oversee the polling process and ensure transparency.
The party has also approached the Election Commission of India to review the voter list and address the alleged irregularities.
No official response has been issued by the Election Commission as of now.
