Stakeholders in Tripura are calling for the introduction of journalism and mass communication degree programmes in state colleges.
The demand for journalism and mass communication degree courses has been growing among students and educators in Tripura.
The call comes as the state seeks to diversify its academic offerings and respond to a rising interest in media-related careers.
Currently, Tripura colleges do not offer these programmes, leaving aspiring journalists to seek alternatives elsewhere.
Stakeholders are urging the state education department to consider adding such courses to the college curriculum.
