Tripura Chief Minister Declares DGP Anurag Dhankar’s Death a Suicide, Probe Ongoing

Tripura’s chief minister publicly stated that the recent death of the state’s Director General of Police, Anurag Dhankar, has been classified as a suicide. The announcement came after initial reports raised questions about the circumstances surrounding the senior officer’s demise.
The CM emphasized that there is no evidence of foul play at this stage, but underscored the need for a thorough, transparent inquiry to address any lingering doubts among the public and the police fraternity.
