Khandwa traffic police deployed a bulldozer to dismantle 42 vehicle silencers, numerous pressure horns and illegally fabricated number plates.
Khandwa traffic police carried out a large‑scale enforcement operation, using a bulldozer to remove illegally fitted vehicle silencers and pressure horns. The action targeted 42 silencers along with a substantial number of pressure horns that violate noise‑pollution norms. In addition, the police destroyed number plates that had been fabricated in contravention of registration rules.
The bulldozer was driven onto the affected vehicles under the supervision of senior traffic officers, who confirmed that the items were removed in a single, coordinated effort. Officials said the operation was aimed at curbing excessive noise on city streets and preventing the use of counterfeit registration plates.
Police spokespersons warned motorists that any further attempts to install prohibited silencers or tamper with number plates will attract strict penalties, including seizure of the offending parts and possible legal action. The department plans to conduct similar raids in other parts of the district to ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
