Authorities have issued a traffic advisory for the upcoming Bathukamma festivities in Kukatpally, urging residents and commuters to anticipate heavy traffic and plan their travel accordingly.
The traffic department of Telangana released the advisory ahead of the Bathukamma celebrations, which draw large crowds to the Kukatpally area each year. Officials said the advisory aims to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrian safety during the festival period.
Bathukamma, a floral festival celebrated predominantly by women, sees significant public gatherings, cultural programs, and processions in the locality, leading to increased vehicular flow on surrounding roads.
Commuters are advised to stay updated with real-time traffic updates, consider alternative routes where possible, and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed at key points to avoid congestion.
