The Karnataka tourism department, in partnership with local youth groups, has introduced a 'Take away plastic, get a cloth bag' initiative at Mullayanagiri and Babbalu Dungri sites to safeguard Coffee Land's beauty.

In Chikkamagaluru district, the Karnataka tourism department has rolled out a new environmental campaign at the popular hill stations of Mullayanagiri and Babbalu Dungri. The initiative, titled "Take away plastic, get a cloth bag", encourages visitors to remove plastic waste and receive a reusable cloth bag as a reward.

The campaign is a joint effort between the tourism department and local youth organizations, aiming to reduce plastic litter and promote sustainable tourism practices in the region known as Coffee Land.

By offering cloth bags to those who dispose of plastic, the program seeks to raise awareness among tourists and locals alike, ensuring the natural beauty of the hills remains intact for future generations.
