Tight security measures in place for India vs West Indies T20 at Indore's Holkar Stadium

India and West Indies will meet in a T20 international at Holkar Stadium on Oct 11, with authorities deploying stringent security protocols for both teams.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that the India‑West Indies T20 International will be staged at Indore's Holkar Stadium on 11 October. The fixture, part of the ongoing bilateral series, is expected to draw a sizable crowd of cricket fans from across the region.
In preparation for the event, the Madhya Pradesh police, along with central paramilitary forces, have been deployed to enforce a comprehensive security plan. Measures include metal‑detector checks at all entry points, extensive CCTV coverage, and a heightened presence of security personnel in and around the stadium premises.
Authorities have also cordoned off the surrounding streets, allowing only authorized vehicles and limiting public access to designated zones. Outside the venue, a regulated market for cricket merchandise has been set up, providing fans with official gear while maintaining crowd control.
