Three Workers Killed as Rubber Factory Wall Collapses in Palghar, Maharashtra

A wall of a rubber factory in Palghar district collapsed while workers were having breakfast, trapping three labourers under the debris and killing them on the spot. Rescue teams recovered the bodies and the incident is under investigation.
The incident occurred in the morning when a section of the factory’s outer wall gave way while several workers were inside having their breakfast. The sudden collapse buried the labourers under concrete and metal debris.
Local police and fire services rushed to the site and launched a rescue operation. After several hours of effort, the bodies of three workers were retrieved from the rubble and sent for post‑mortem examination.
Authorities have sealed off the factory premises and begun an inquiry into the structural failure. Officials said they will examine whether safety norms were followed and if any negligence contributed to the accident.
