The Ministry of Railways has given the green light to three additional rail services that will run between Haridwar in Uttarakhand and major centres in Gujarat. The move aims to strengthen transport links between the two regions, which share significant cultural and commercial ties.
These new services are expected to provide faster and more convenient options for pilgrims, tourists and traders travelling between the Himalayan foothills and Gujarat's industrial hubs. By directly linking Haridwar with Gujarat, the railways hope to reduce travel time and reliance on road transport.
