The ceiling of a government school in Udaipur gave way, striking three students and causing head injuries. Injured children were rushed to hospital while officials launched an inquiry into the incident.
The incident occurred at a government school in Udaipur when a portion of the ceiling collapsed during school hours. Witnesses reported a sudden loud noise followed by debris falling onto the classroom floor.
Three children suffered head injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Medical staff said their condition is stable and they are under observation.
School authorities, along with the district administration, have cordoned off the affected area and begun a safety inspection to determine the cause of the collapse. Officials have promised a thorough structural audit of the building.
