On the final Monday of the monsoon month Sawan, Shiva temples across Mohali saw a massive influx of devotees.

Mohali witnessed a remarkable gathering of worshippers at its Shiva temples on the last Monday of Sawan, a month considered especially auspicious for Lord Shiva. Devotees from across the city and neighboring towns arrived early in the morning to offer prayers and participate in traditional rituals.

The temples were crowded with people performing abhishek, lighting oil lamps and chanting mantras throughout the day. Special aarti sessions were organized, and many offered flowers, milk and bilva leaves as part of the customary worship during this holy period.

Local authorities coordinated crowd management and ensured that basic amenities such as water and sanitation were available. The surge of devotion underscores the cultural significance of Sawan in Punjab and reflects the continued reverence for Shiva among the region's Hindu community.
